One misty and foggy morning in January, the students of grade 8 and 9 set on their bus ride to Pachaimalai hills, one of the mystical and pristine hills of Trichy. As the name suggests, it was so serene and beautiful lush green hill. The hill is so special because of the tribal community that adds to the vibrancy and culture of the place.
The students experienced the hill through a 5 km long trek. Though the trek was testing their endurance, the beauty of the place got them moving and helped them get through the very last stretch. Students learnt about the environment and why they have to protect such fragile ecosystem that houses variety of birds, trees, herbs and animals.
